Questions
How do I enter?
Log in with Discord, click an open door and press “Enter giveaway”. One entry per door.
How do I claim a prize?
Link your Stake.com username to the Toaster Wheel bot in the Toaster Discord. You have 12 hours from the moment the winners are rolled. If your username isn't linked by then, your prize is rerolled and goes to the next ticket.
Are item prizes shipped?
No. Nothing is shipped. When a door's prize is an item, the winner receives its equivalent value in crypto instead.
Why can't I enter a door?
Some doors need a specific role in the Toaster Discord server. We read your roles from Discord when you enter, so if you just got a role, try again in a moment.
How are winners picked?
Provably fairly. When an organiser locks a closed door, the list of qualifying entrants is frozen and fingerprinted, and we name a future round of the public drand random beacon. The winners are then calculated automatically from that round with a fixed public shuffle, so the organisers cannot choose or change which tickets win once the draw is locked. What they do decide, before locking, is who qualifies (published by ticket with a reason), and they can replace a winner who cannot be paid (with a published reason). Open any finished door and press “Verify” to check the maths yourself.
Will my name and picture be shown?
Winners are shown by their Discord display name and picture. The draw animation also flashes by a random sample of about 60 qualifying entrants (name and picture) before it lands on the winners, so a small number of entrants may be seen by visitors. Nobody else who entered is revealed, and your Discord ID is never shown. You can hide yourself from that sample in your profile (it applies from the next draw that is locked).
What does this site see about me?
Your Discord username, avatar and your roles in the Toaster server. We never see your password or messages and we can't act on your behalf. To keep the giveaways fair (one person, one entry) we also set a cookie with a random ID in your browser (valid 90 days from your last login or entry) and, for 90 days, keep a keyed fingerprint of that ID and of your network address, plus your browser type. It is written when you log in or enter a door. It is not your address and the site never shows it, but the organisers hold the secret key that would let them match it to one. They use it only to spot one person using several accounts. Copies of the database kept as backups are deleted within 30 days. To have your records deleted, ask the organisers in the Toaster Discord.
